Andronicca Masemola is the Executive Director of Finance for Barloworld Equipment in the Southern Africa region. As the divisional FD, she manages the finances of a company with a R20 billion turnover. Prior to this, Andronicca held the position of Group Head of Internal Audit at Barloworld where she led a team of internal auditors overseeing internal audit activities in Southern Africa, Russia, Spain, Portugal, and London. Her period in this position has seen her develop and entrench the Internal Audit Department as a trusted provider of assurance services on the Group’s Governance, Risk and Compliance activities.
Before joining Barloworld, she was a Partner at KPMG and Public Sector Market leader, she contributed to the growth of KPMG’s public sector portfolio, served as a member of the KPMG Board and chairperson of the KPMG audit committee.
Andronicca started her career at SARS as a Tax Compliance Auditor and then joined the Auditor-General’s office. In 2006 she made history when she was appointed as the first black African woman to head the Gauteng Office of the Auditor-General. She was very instrumental in making recommendations to the Gauteng Provincial Government on issues of financial management and governance. She also worked for Rand Merchant Bank (RMB) in the Equities Trading Department where she was a Senior Project Accountant and Chairperson of the Department’s Transformation Committee.
She currently serves on the Board of Barloworld South Africa (Pty) Ltd and Bartrac Mauritius, a Joint Venture that Barloworld Equipment has invested in with operations in the DRC Katanga region.
She is a Chartered Accountant, holds a BCompt and BCompt Honours/CTA. She is an alumnus of the Albert Luthuli Centre for Leadership Studies and holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Economics and Management Science (Integrated Reporting).
